Pure perfume is good for your heath; where as commercial fragrances is a health detriment due to the large amount of ethyl alcohol. Your body considers ethyl alcohol to be a poison and many people who think they are allergic to perfume are actually allergic to the alcohol in the perfume.
Pure fragrance's shelf life is much longer than commercial fragrances. Many people are not aware that fragrances with alcohol spoil within 6-18 months but pure fragrances retain their fragrance for over 6 years!
