    Fougere-Ambery

    Fougere: meaning Fern in French, fougere is built on a base of oakmoss, lavender, and coumarin. It is characterized by its sharp, herbaceous, and woody scent. Drakkar Noir is a good example of fougere.

    Ambery: This is a large fragrance class featuring slightly animalic scent of ladbanum or ambergris. Also known as "Oriental", these scents are often combined with tonka bean, vanilla, flowers, and woods and can be enhanced by camphorous oils and incense resins.
